Wedding Tips-Groom's skin

Wedding Tips-Groom's skin

Dear Blushing Bride, as you embark on the journey to marital bliss, consider yourself the skincare guru in your relationship. Men's skin may be a mystery wrapped in a beard, but fear not – the pimple mud overnight cream is your secret weapon! It's like a magical potion that turns their skin from a construction site to a smooth canvas overnight. Educate your soon-to-be spouse and his fellow groomsmen about this skincare wizardry because, let's face it, their idea of a skincare routine is splashing water on their face and calling it a day. With your newfound knowledge, you'll be the fairy godmother of flawless skin, ensuring that on your big day, your groom and his squad will be radiant enough to give the bridesmaids a run for their money. Here's to banishing the blemishes and turning your wedding day into a skincare success story!

Wedding Tips-Photographer Pricing

Wedding Tips-Photographer Pricing

Let me be the first to say…I HATE that photographers don’t show their pricing on their sites! None of this “wedding packages starting at…” or “message for a custom quote” I proudly show my pricing…no games, just fair pricing for gorgeous photography!

Dear Budget-Savvy Bride, when it comes to wedding photographer pricing, it's like navigating a labyrinth of fine print, and let's face it, no one wants to feel like they're decoding a secret message. Be wary of those sly print credits and album credits – it's like being given Monopoly money when you just want real cash. Photography packages that come with more requirements than a high-security prison break? No, thank you! You want a photographer, not a legal contract with more stipulations than a superhero's secret identity. Ensure your photographer is more transparent than your dream wedding dress and won't have you jumping through hoops to get those cherished moments captured. Remember, it's your big day, not a game of photographer roulette. So, say "I don't" to sneaky pricing tactics and demand a photoshoot that's as straightforward as your love story. Happy budgeting!

I fell in love with how the light cascaded through the windows and the geometric shapes of the architecture was the perfect backdrop to her princess wedding gown. After the ceremony we drove all over finding one gorgeous location after another. If you want adventure elopements…Montana is the way to go. Allison and Luke Wedding

Allison and Luke's wedding was worth the wait...it was held at a gorgeous private residence (bride's Mom's home) down the Bitterroot situated on the banks of the river with mountains framing the skyline.  Allison's dress had every little detail you could possibly imagine!  Luke looked amazing in his suit and decided to take off the baseball cap that appears to be permanently attached every other day!  Their wedding could not have been more perfect!

Wedding Planning Tips From an Expert-Placement of the Ceremony

Wedding Planning Tips From an Expert-Placement of the Ceremony

Bride Tips 2017

You need to be cognizant of two main things when deciding on placement of the ceremony...lighting and distractions. I'll cover lighting in another tip in more detail. The important thing is to make sure you don't have distractions behind you either while you're standing up there during the ceremony or the one EVERYONE forgets is at the beginning of the aisle. When the bride walks in it's imperative that the background as she walks in is clear of any distractions (buildings, road signs, kegs, guests, etc etc etc)! I can't tell you the number of things I've had to edit out of "entrance" photos. Most photographers will shoot from the end of the aisle looking back to capture the faces of the wedding party and family as they enter. No one remembers to make sure that angle is clear from distractions. So remember, as you walk down the aisle towards your future make sure what's behind you isn't a cluttered mess! Wedding planning tips from a wedding expert-Addressing checks

Wedding planning tips from a wedding expert-Addressing checks

Make sure to politely/tactfully remind your guests to properly address checks using your maiden name or to use the word "OR" not "AND" when filling them out. (I.e. Make payable to Mr. OR Mrs Smith). Some banks will make it very difficult for you to cash these after the wedding, especially if you haven't changed your name yet (may even require proof of marriage).

Wedding Planning Tips From a Wedding Expert-Asking Attendants

This one hit close to home recently...my brother is getting married this summer!  And in classic little brother fashion, he just assumed that I would be in the wedding...no asking, discussion or talk.  I had to hear from my Mom that I was in the wedding.  He finally got around to asking if I would be in the wedding after the rest of the fam was giving him crap about it over Christmas (months later).  Anyway, the moral of the story here ladies and gentlemen is to make sure you ask your attendants if they will be in the wedding (don't assume anything)...furthermore make it special somehow and personal to you both!  I mean you are asking them to stand next to you on the big day after all!  For our wedding Jen actually had some super cute laser cut bridesmaids boxes made on Etsy for her attendants and even did one for my Mom that said "Thank you for raising an amazing son, will you be my new Mom?"

Wedding Planning Tips From a Wedding Expert-Ceremony Lighting and Shadows

When you're deciding on the details of your outdoor ceremony there's something you may not have taken into consideration...the lighting!  The lighting is extremely important not only for the photographs but also the guests and even the couple.  Too often I see shadows on the couple, or worse yet just on one or the other.  I've seen couples crying, not from emotion but from having to stare into the sun.  I've seen guests, blinded not by the beauty of the bride but the glaring sun right in their faces.  The best thing you can do is to try and orient the ceremony so that the entire bridal party is evenly lit by the sun and the guests have their backs to it.  Don't stand directly under a gazebo or tree unless you can ensure even shade throughout.
